You Are Never Alone
Cerulean Butterfly came online in July 2004. We started out as one of the second wave of pro-eating disorder websites on the Internet and grew to be one of the most prominent websites in that community. Over the years we have evolved into what we refer to as "pro-reality." We aim to support those in all stages of eating disorders, from the thick of it to hard-and-fast recovery, while never glorifying them and showing them for what they are. We also offer support for eating-disordered individuals who also struggle with mood disorders, self-harm, sexual abuse and trauma, and addiction, as we understand these disorders often go hand-in-hand with the other afflictions listed above.
Our mantra, our creed, our words to live by are this: YOU ARE NEVER ALONE! You can always find another Butterfly here who understands what you are going through. We are a community and strive to offer love and support to all our members in whatever situation relevant to their lives. The only provision is that to join the forum you must be suffering or have suffered from an eating disorder and be 15 years of age or older.
If you are here for support, please do consider joining our community. Many of our members have been here for years. It's a place full of love and support for those who need it. We've met in person on several occasions, and made some of our best friends here. We truly embody our mantra, that you are never alone.
